Have you ever heard
of the phrase, break up the fallow ground?
The fallow ground of a field represents the unproductive ground that
hasn’t been plowed. It is covered with weeds, cockle-burrs, thorns, and
thistles. The ground is too hard for much to grow. At least anything of true
value. It may also relate to a field that has been plowed up, with no seed sown
upon the ground.
There is a verse in
the Word of God that addresses breaking up the fallow ground. It is not talking
about a field of dirt, which needs to be plowed up, and the clods broken apart.
The meaning runs a lot deeper.
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break
up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and
rain righteousness upon you.
This is talking
about the ground of our hearts. It is something that we need to do as
Christians when we desire a deeper relationship with Jesus. You might be
thinking that we all are in need of a deeper relationship, and I would be
inclined to agree. However, most of us are not always prepared, to do the work
required, to gain this understanding.
This is an action
step, and there is no time limit on it either. It takes a lot more time to accomplish,
that it does simply to read this verse. I am currently working this step of
faith, because I need a fresh relationship with Jesus. The last time I made an
attempt of doing this was, in the year two-thousand. I have gone way too long,
because I can tell because of the buildup, of left behind residue.
Please allow me to
explain how this works in greater detail. There is not any need to share this
with another person, unless you just want. Most of us will have those hidden secrets,
which we plan on taking to our graves with us on here. Now that I have your attention!! This is not for everyone, although it
should be. It is only for those that want a deep, sincere relationship with
Jesus. It will free you of some of that guilt, that we usually hold on to way
too long.
This little, but
major step is capable, of revealing the demonic stronghold’s, that invade the
lives, of the most perfect performing Christians. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We are in a
Spiritual war, and we are all participating by default. Either you on are the
side of the Lord, or the side of Satan. Just because you are on the side of the
Lord, doesn’t mean that Satan doesn’t have his demons, in the camp, of your
mind.
Over the years
Satan has built up strongholds in your life. (STRONG-HOLD, n. [strong and hold.] A fastness;
a fort; a fortified place; a place of security.) This is Spiritual warfare 101. Every true child of the living God
should be aware of Satan’s tactics.
1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Some of these may
be from a generational curses past down in your blood line. This curse goes all the way back, into the
book of Exodus. If you will notice, our Father wants us to break these curses,
which came from our bloodline. Exodus 20:5-6 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them
that hate me; 6 And shewing
mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
What we do is
either get a notebook of paper, our personal computer, or a small drive to keep
your work private. This is not something that should be treated like an open
book. It contains very private issues that you and God will share together.
If you have never
done this before, in your life, you will want to go as far back, as you can
remember. That day that you received your personal Salvation, really doesn’t
matter. There are things in your past, where the satanic strongholds exist. You
might not even realize that you have them, but they are there.
What you want to
write about is everything. Every pain that you ever felt. Every wrong that you
ever did to anybody. Don’t think that these things have to be all bad; because
we have all do some good in the times past.
This is not
something to use as a weapon to beat yourself with endlessly. Jesus loves you!! There is nothing that you will write about,
which He doesn’t already know about. Actually, you never attempt this on your
own. You always ask Holy Spirit to reveal what it is that’s needed for you to
remember at the time.
It is like keeping
a diary, and a little goes into it every day, until it is completed. You will
be flooded with all kinds of feelings, and emotions. That is why you need Holy
Spirit’s help. This verse and exercise is going to make you a freer person, and
a stronger person. You will be amazed at what Holy Spirit will show you if you
will only ask.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he,
the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall
not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and
he will shew you things to come.
You may have notice
that I skipped all the verse but this part. I knew that this would take all,
and even more space by itself. I will get to the rest of this verse in the next
post. Ain’t God good?
….Much Love
