Today has been an outstanding
day where everything has gone right. Everything from Oreo cookies, being on
sale, to getting my E-Sword up and running again!! I did find another really
good Bible program, while I was having trouble with E-Sword. The name of this
program is called The Word. Here is the link to check it out, if you are
interested.
I really needed to see what I
was like in Titus 3:3 yesterday. That was a picture portrait of my past. I told
y’all that this next post would be all about the but, that followed, in the
next verse. Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God
our Saviour toward man appeared,
But after that,….. I took a
real beating on verse three, and this version of, but after that,… is quite a
relief for me to see. The kindness and love of God our Savior appeared toward man. Wasn’t that good? I am not sure about anybody else, but I
had no idea, what I was asking for, when I ask Jesus, into my heart. About the
only thing that I really knew is that I was miserable, and guilty, of many
sins. Holy Spirit was pointing out Jesus to me, as the only solution, for any
peace. I was ready for a change!!
I always thought that the God
with kindness and love was the One, which I could never access. In other words,
I didn’t believe that He existed. If by chance He did exist, then He would not
have anything to do with, the likes of me. I was sure that I was on my own,
because I had heard about the unpardonable sin.
Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the
Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the
Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
I thought that I was surely
sunk, because I figured that I blasphemed everything else, so I must have got
this one also. But after that….. Do you want to see more examples of His
kindness?
Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the
exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ
Jesus.
I really can’t even start to
touch this verse, or the next few verses, in the book of Titus. There is so
much involved with these verses, which I could never finish. Do you realize that the obvious is never
the absolute, when studying the Bible? There are always deeper meanings being
concealed within. Are you ready for
another verse?
Psalms 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and
thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
I would like to suggest, that
you take the time to study Psalms 121. There aren’t but eight verses filled,
with the promises of God for, protection, and guidance. You can say that
Father’s loving-kindness is the theme. Like I said before, I had no idea what I
was signing on for, but I can say this with assurance, it is all good!!
The only reason that I had
thought ill toward Father God, is simply because, I had not yet learned of Him.
The first place where I had it all wrong was the fact, that I thought that He
was like us except better. The truth is that Father is not like us. He is holy!!
Leviticus 11:45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you
up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am
holy.
I would love to give you the
definition of the word holy. However, I feel that nobody really knows what that
word means, as far as our Father God is concerned. I know that is something,
which we can never achieve by ourselves. Father knew that also, and He made
provision, for our weakness before creation. It was not an afterthought, as
some would say. Once you start putting all of this together, you will find the wisdom
of God mind-blowing to our little minds!!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
This was Fathers best gift,
which He could have sent to us. He sent us Jesus. We have no other need if we
have Jesus. He is the complete package!!
Colossians 2:9-19 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the
Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all
principality and power:
Ain’t God good?
….Much Love
