Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..................it's so cold!!!! OK,........i admit it!! i admit that I've become a wimp in my older years!! But it's really cold!!
i just saw Bubba leave the house this morning looking like an Eskimo, and he is part Indian. I've saw him running around in the cold wearing nothing but a pair of shorts, so you know that it's really cold!!
please,.......don't take me wrong, because I'm not complaining. I'm just stating the facts. i am a blessed man beyond any reason!! there were millions of people all crossed this world that we live in that don't have it as good today, as i do. i had the opportunity to wake up warm this morning. it was so warm laying inside my bed roll. the problem started when i decided to crawl out of it.
I've almost run out of wood to burn in the fireplace. what i have is logs so big that they wont burn quick enough to generate heat like i need to warm the house. there is another situation that i have no control over. it's the fact that i don't have an axe so split the wood with, so it burns right. this is probably a good time to start laughing, because i laugh at it every time that it comes to mind.
i need to change my focus over to something really important this morning. i know that i have people that read this blog crossed the world, but i need to concentrate on the country that i live in. we have a problem in our nation just like the rest of the world does, and it's called poverty.
we should not have this going on.......,but we do. we are one of the richest nations in the world, and still have our American people sleeping on the streets, and out in the cold!! we as a nation have figured out how to turn a profit off of them, and have lost all interest in who they are. they are Fathers, Grandfather's, Brothers, Sisters, Mother's, Children, Uncles, Aunt's, Cousins, Friend's, Veteran's, and everyone of them has somebody, somewhere that loves them!!
instead we focus on what they have become. we dare to call them less that human. they are social outcast to us. our kids are beating them to death, just for the fun of it!! we walk passed them pretending not to hear their plea for help, because we assume what they will do with the money that we hand to them.
honestly,..............i know that I'm fixing to piss some people off with this statement, but i would rather do that than see you suffer attempting to do good. when somebody reaches out to you for some help, and you reach down deep in your pocket for that dollar bill, and a dollar wont help out much in today's economy. when you hand goes toward their hand with that glorious dollar bill inside of it, and they take it from you. you no longer have possession of that dollar, and it's none of you damn business what they spend it on!!
the absolutely best thing thing that you can do at that point is turn away, and walk off with a smile on your face knowing that you helped a living being out today. what ever they do with that little bit of money you handed them,......... to them it is what they think that they need at the time.
i have seen many beggars put money in the offering plate when it's passed around in a church service. i have saw them drop a few pennies in the plate, and i have even witnessed them dropping bills. i have lived in close quarters with these down trodden folks, and I've saw them take that dollar, and by a bag of chips for their daily meal. sometimes they take they money, and ride the bus to a shelter where they can get food, fresh clothes, and rest for the night without worrying who will beat their brains out while they sleep. oh,.......and yeah,........I've also seen them buy beer, and smokes with that money, but that is still none of your business!!
it still amazes me how this rich country that we live in can have all this going on, but i do understand why it's going on. we have forgot the basic principle that our country was founded on. our fore-fathers wanted a land in which they would have the freedom to worship as they pleased, and the way that they pleased is outlined heavily in the Constitution of this country, and the Bill of Rights.
we elect well educated men and women to make sure that our country is ran to the standards as outlined in those documents, but apparently they don't have the education to read simple English. we have placed the key ingredient to the side that made us the great nation that we once were: God!! now,.......that makes about as much sense as making biscuits without flour!! that would wind up a shorting' milkshake!!
sadly, that what our nation has become without the presence of God in it. a conglomeration of a couple ingredients without much substance, and really doesn't taste all that well.
who do you think is doing this to our nation? the rich of course. they are only concerned about what they can do to get richer. they have no need for God, or anybody that's poor. I'm not saying that all the rich in this country feel that way, because they don't. there used to be a time that the rich, and the poor could co-exist with each other. they needed each other, but that's not as true as it once was.
i don't understand who anybody can possibly think that our nation can survive without God at the steering wheel? the more that we edge Him out. the worse off we become!!
God is a gentleman, by all standards. He wants us to freely accept Him. He is powerful also. He could destroy our land with a blink of His eye, but He wont. instead He is graciously backing off, and letting us destroy ourselves.
i guess y'all get the picture. now,........ what do you think we ought to do about? these folks can do anything that we don't allow them to do!! the polls say that there are more Christian people that live in our country than all the non-believing crowd. if there is any truth in that statement then why are a few, pushing around the many?
America,...................Let's Give it Back to it's rightful Owner,........Let's Place it Back in the Hand's of God!!
