2Timothy 4-

2Timothy 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Timothy 4:4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I know that the United States of America has a major problem, which Paul refers to as, the itchy ears syndrome. I am sure that this is a worldwide issue. However, I am not a world traveler, and cannot be guilty of laying any false claims. I am not sure how much of our nation, are real Christians. Only Father knows for sure about the number. The polls that are taken are very deceptive though. If as many Christians really lived here, life would be a lot different, than it is now.

If there were as many Christians in this country as claimed to be, there would not be any consideration, for homosexual marriage, on the dockets of the Supreme Court. They would realize that God does not change. God blessed the marriage between man and woman, and will not be guilty of blessing a homosexual marriage!! This was not His plan to begin with, and practicing a homosexual lifestyle is acting in direct disobedience!!

I will give the homosexuals credit for one thing. They have no fear of the One that created them. They show this lack of fear every time, that they smack the face of God, with a fist full of total rebellion!! They might not be scared, but the fact that they are doing this, causes my level of fear to rise. In the Word it says that we should fear the Lord our God.

A lot of folks try to sugar coat this saying, to mean something less than actual fear. That might work for them, but it doesn’t quite add up for me. The times that I have been surrounded with the presence of the Lord, it was nothing short of an awesome fear!! It was a fear that I really can’t describe. However, I did recognize it as fear, so I do take the Lord at His Word.

In the United States we have a serious problem, with committing murder. We have chosen to make it legal, and give it a name. The name that we call this type of murder is abortion. We commit fornication, and if pregnancy does occur we go to the Doctor, and have that small life put to death. Can you imagine all the blood spilt on American soil, which is crying out to Father?

If the blood of Abel cried out from the earth, after Cain slew him. What makes us think that our babies would be any different? Genesis 4:10  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

It is really funny in the saddest form, that Americans can simply pass a law, which makes sin alright. God declares a thing, and if we don’t agree with it, we simply pass a law stating that it now is alright. In other words what we are actually doing is telling our Creator that He messed up. We have a better plan than He does, so His system needs revising. We are just the folks to straighten our Father out!!

That is exactly what those verses, in second Timothy are saying. We are rejecting the Truth of God, and when we do this, we like to surround ourselves, with those that agree with us. We are not so stupid, that we don’t realize that there is strength in numbers. Although, we are too stupid to realize that God alone is the Majority!!

I might be wrong in using that word of being stupid. Several other words come to mind. Insanity, Foolishness, Acting a Fool, Playing the Fool, but that is just me talking. The Word says it is being deceived, or the art of deception. Satan is the master at the art of deception. That is really his only weapon in his arsenal. If you only have one weapon, then it stands to have been improved on greatly.

I am totally amazed how that he can deceive so many, with the same old trick!! He is a grumpy critter at his trade, and nobody is safe from his influence. His deception can be so subtle, that even true believers can be snagged at times. The only defense, that we against Satan is Jesus. If we don’t submit to the Lordship of Jesus, then we don’t have any defense what-so-ever!! John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.   

Have you ever noticed that Jesus don’t mix any words? He always says exactly what it is that He means. More times than not, we can get offended, by something that He says. Those are the times we start explaining, what He was really saying. Do you ever find yourself doing this? I know that I have before, and it is possible that I still might at times. I really pray that I don’t do it anymore.

The book of Revelation comes with an added curse, for those that would try to change, what that it says.  Revelation 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Revelation 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

That is mighty strong language from where I am sitting today. I don’t want anything to be taken from me!!              Do you?
