A
lot of people don’t believe in a place called hell. They are sure that our God
would not possible send them there, and there are right. Father is not going to
send anybody, on this earth to hell. Hell was a special preparation to punish
Satan, and the fallen Angels. It was never meant for Father’s created human
beings.
Father
left the choice up to us, where we want to spend an eternity. We choose to
inter into the gates of hell, when we deny Jesus Christ and the marvelous work
of the cross in our lives!!
The
price for our sin has already been paid. All we have to do now is receive our
Salvation by faith. I believe that Jesus is the most awesome person, which any
of us can ever meet!! It is far more than Him giving His life, so that we might
have life. It is the fact of who that He
really is, and the power that He possesses.
Let’s
look at some of the ways, that He explains Himself to us. Do you remember when
Saul was riding on Damascus Road, and Jesus knocked him off his high horse?
This is a part of the conversation, where Jesus is talking. Acts
26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them
from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they
may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in me.
If
you will notice Jesus is putting us in our true state of being. We are blind.
We are Spiritually blind, and tring to motivate ourselves around in the dark.
We are already under the control of Satan, because we were born that way. There
is but one solution for our problem, and Jesus is that solution.
In
the book of Isaiah is the most beautiful passage about Jesus. In fact it is
recorded again in the book of Luke. Jesus went into the synagogue in Nazareth
on the Sabbath day, and went up to read the scriptures. The minister handed
Jesus the book of Isaiah. It was more than likely a scroll, even though the
book of Luke calls it a book.
Jesus turned to this passage, and started to read. Luke
4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me
to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:19 To preach the
acceptable year of the Lord.
The Word says that Jesus stopped right there, and closed the
book. He handed it back to the minister, and set down. Luke records that every
eye was open Him, because it was a jaw dropping experience!! They pondered in
their hearts saying, is this not the son of joseph?
I am going back to
the book of Isaiah, to pick up where Jesus chose, to stop on that day. Isaiah
61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the
LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isaiah
61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to
give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of
praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
To comfort all that mourn. I know that none of us have ever
mourned over something. We have never hurt about anything. What’s that?
Oh…you have hurt over a few things. You know, as well as I do, that we
can feel pain at the blink of an eye. We carry around every pain, that we have
ever felt, until it gets way too heavy to carry any more. There is a solution
for that madness also!!
Beauty
for ashes? What ashes? Do I have ashes? We all have the ashes of the things,
which have been burnt up in our lives. We to carry a sack of nothing but ashes,
on our shoulders. Often we look at them, while wondering what really happened,
and asking the question. Why?
The
spirit of heaviness is nothing more than depression. If you will allow me to
bring up the fact that we carry so much baggage around with us. All the hurts,
and the pains, and the ashes, that when we take just a peek at them something
happens. We get mesmerized by thinking what if, and that is enough to lead us
into a state of depression.
Depression
is a common state to be in. Elijah got depressed. Jonah got depressed. I get
depressed, and there is a high chance that most of the readers of this do
also!! Well, if it is so common of an issue, why doesn’t the Bible give a
solution?
I
believe that is a more than fair question to be asking. I have often wondered
that very same thing. However, it does give the solution, and it is found in
this very verse. Put on the garment of praise!! Clothe yourself like you live
in Alaska, with gratefulness, and her twin sister of thankfulness. Cover you
entire body with praise. When you stub your toe, on the bed post. After you
stop cussing, repent, and praise the Lord that you had a toe on the foot, that
was connected to the leg, that directed your foot, to close to that bed post.
We
were created to praise and worship. We are out of our element when we are not
doing these things. How often do we just say, thank you? How often do we
realize, that it is not about us to begin with? We were only created to fellowship
with Father, and give Him praise. That was His plan.
Do
you ever wonder, what made us to believe, that there is any other use for us?
It is not about us. It is all about Jesus!! There is no other hope for the
human race…..
……Much Love
