If You Have Doubts

If anyone ever has any doubts, about their Salvation, I would recommend reading, the three Epistles of John.  I really don’t think that it would matter which one, but if you have doubts, I would start with the first one. The Apostle John seemed to be closer to Jesus. It seems that if Jesus went anywhere without John, He would simply have to slip away from him. The attraction was so strong between those two, that in four verses, of the Bible, it says the apostle whom Jesus loved. (John 13:23, 20:2, 21:17, 20)

1John 1:1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

In this verse John is saying…. I really need to post this other verse with this verse. This is the way that John started the main gospel that he wrote. John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  This was how he stared out in the gospel. However, we can tell that he has really stepped things up after walking with Jesus, for three years.

Notice that John is not just saying that he was a witness to the life of Jesus. Instead John uses the word we. We heard Jesus!!    We saw Jesus with our own eyes!!     We have looked upon Jesus!! (Look closely, perceive, and visit)  We have handled Jesus!!     We have touched Jesus, and verified that He is real!! I said all these things about Jesus, but John called Him the Word of life.

Going back to the gospel in John 1:14,  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. I want to show you, these other verses, that has come out of First John.
1John 1:2-4  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

All I have tried to do so far is show living proof, that John was the disciple, whom would have probably known Jesus the best. The reason that he was the closest to Jesus was more than likely, the fact he stayed next to Him the most. Would you join with me believing, that John probably knew the most about Jesus, on the earth?

It really doesn’t take much of the Word of God to place me in a position of awe!! I found something….Burp…Burp,…Burp!!    Wrong phrase, because it wasn’t lost!!   I discovered something in the book of Revelation, which I have never thought about before.   Would it be okay if I share this revelation with you?

I will be skipping down to the thirteenth verse, of the first chapter. Don’t be scared to read it, because it is important. It is just not important to make my point, which I really want to make.  Revelation 1:13-16  And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

When John writes the phrase, like unto the Son of man. He is doing a couple things. One is that the Son of man was the favorite name which Jesus called Himself. It seems that He comparing this being, to the probability that it might be Jesus, although, John doesn’t seem to be sure.

14  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15  And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

These next two verses will place everything, in proper prospective. Revelation 1:17-18  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

John was scared to the point of death!!   Why?    How could this be true?    We have already established that John knew more about Jesus, than anybody else here on this earth.    At least I think that we did. I know that was my honesty assumption.

This proves that John wasn’t sure of what he was saying when he referred to Him in verse thirteen. John was just thinking that He might have some of the same traits as those of Jesus. The question of why, that the apostle John didn’t know that this was Jesus, still has not been answered yet.

I believe that this is not the same Jesus, as John knew here on the earth!! This is a Jesus who is ready to come, and get His church at any time. He doesn’t look the same. He doesn’t act the same. He doesn’t even speak the same.  This Jesus is locked, cocked, and ready to tend to the business at hand!! He is the Alpha, and Omega!!  He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!!
Think about this.      If John couldn’t tell that was the Jesus, which he walked with, and handled for three years……That should be screaming volumes at us!!!

Ain’t God good?

             ….Much Love
