I was sitting here
thinking, about what I want to write about today. What are the most important
things that I could write about Jesus? The truth is that every single thing
about Jesus Christ is very important, at least to those whom Jesus is their
entire life. Maybe, I need to write about the possibility, of Jesus being our
entire life. Is it possible for Jesus to become our entire life?
I know that this sounds
overwhelming. How or why could this be
so? Most of us might be a little, or a
lot offended, by just the thought of this. Mainly for the reason that we seem
to have our own agenda, and to fit the life of Jesus, into our life’s right
now, would slow our roll. I am talking to the born again believers today, who
call ourselves Christians. Most of us try to fit Jesus, into our lives where He
will fit, and whenever it is convenient for us.
I really don’t think that
was what the Father had in mind, when He created us. Father’s intention for us
was to have a relationship with Him. In that relationship, He really wanted to
bless us, beyond our wildest imaginations.
Now, James,…..Why would He want to do that? Two good reasons (1). Because that is who
Father is, and (2) because He can!!
This truly is the best
deal that we will ever have in our lives.
We were created, and we were called, and from that point forward, it is
a win-win situation for us. Look how our Creator God sees us.
1Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth
the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous
light:
Do you see what Father, is
calling us to do to receive, all of these good things? All we have to do is
show our praises toward Him. The only snag is that we have to receive all these
good things by faith, and praise Him as if it had already come to pass. I
wonder how many of us, would have a hard time, praising a rich man who was
sharing, his checking account with us?
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen.
This is the Bible’s definition of faith. I like to say that it
is steeping out on nothing, believing that there is something. I find that
faith works better when we practice it. You start out with the small things,
and grow into the larger things. It will not take long to accept, totally
ridiculous things by faith. Do you want
an example? Virgin birth. Need I say more?
Before I get taken too far away, from the good things, that our
Father wants for us. One of the greatest things that Father wants for us is to
be conformed. CONFORMED, pp. Made to resemble; reduced to
a likeness of; made agreeable to; suited. Father didn’t simply want
us to be conformed to just any person. He wants us to be conformed to His best,
and His best is Jesus.
Romans
8:29 For whom he did
foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his
Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
If the Father was to have
His way in our lives, then Jesus would become the entirety, of our lives. I
know that we often rebel, to the fact that Jesus will take away, from the things,
which we hold more dearly in our lives. However, Jesus in our lives means, that
we have added blessings, because of Jesus. In all reality, wherever Jesus is,
there is a real sense, of wonderful hope. Jesus truly is a river, of living
waters.
Should I go ahead and tell
you, how to make Jesus, the most important thing in your lives? It doesn’t happen by accident. Nobody simply
falls into a relationship, with our Savior. It does take action on our part.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any
man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with
him, and he with me.
This is Jesus, with the
solution, for our relationship with Him. “Hello!! Hello!! Is anybody in there?” knock,
knock “Hello!! It’s Jesus. Please open the door!!” Knock, knock. “Hello?”
We have a two part assistance to make this become a reality. The first
is to hear the call, and the second is to open the door.
You might be thinking that
I have already been Saved, and this is a verse to call folks into
Salvation. Are you serious? Then why was Jesus talking to the
church of Laodicea? He was rebuking them
for being lukewarm, and calling them back, into a hot relationship with
Himself. The hotter our relationship with Jesus, then the greater His blessings
are, on our life.
Although the Bible, the
ones that received the greatest blessing, with serving Jesus, were the ones,
which were closest to Him. If we are feeling a little distant today, then the
cares of this world has taken us back. There is nothing that Jesus wants to do
with us, more than fellowship. Ain’t
Jesus Great?
….Much Love
