I
guess that you can tell, that I am talking about, having a case of the
burnouts. There is a time in all of our lives, which we all suffer, from this
syndrome. If we carry this excessive load around with us for long enough, then
the twin sister, moves right on in. Her name is depression, and there is
absolutely nothing, nice about her. She stretches herself over every part, of
your mind, and blocks all the light out!! She has one job, and only one job.
That is to complete the work of her father the devil; to steal, kill, and
destroy!!(John 10:10)
This
was never the plans of Father. Father has a lower, stress free way of living.
We put this monstrosity, of living life, on ourselves. Our focus has gotten
completely, out of whack. We have taken our eyes off of Jesus, and we have
placed them, on our neighbors, that are living next door. We labor very hard,
for the plasma televisions sets, on every wall of our house. Nothing but the
newest Escalade, or Hummer in our driveway, or garage, will suffice.
Is
there a way to stop this madness? What can I do, because I know that, beyond
any shadow of doubt, that I am trapped? I don’t want to lose my mind, and this
is the direction that I am heading.
I
think that we would do well to take and look at another man, back in history.
He was a king, and the son of a king. His name was Solomon. He was rich with
great things, of great wealth. However, his greatest wealth came from his
wisdom. God blessed Solomon, with the most wisdom, which any man, on this earth
ever had. Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes, in the Bible.
Solomon
looked at everything that could be looked at, and made a call on it. He
classified everything as vanity. All the kingdoms, all the riches, all the work
that it had taken to build such things, he called vanity. He spent twelve
chapters writing about these things, and the last two verses, of all that he
found, goes like this: (Ecc. 12:13,14) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole
matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
(14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,
whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Psalms
118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad
in it. The word rejoice is found, in the Bible 192 times, inside of 183
verses. The definition of the word rejoice is, To experience joy and gladness
in a high degree; to be exhilarated with lively and pleasurable sensations; to
exult, to exhilarate.
(Philippians
4:4) Rejoice
in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. One sure way to change, the unfruitful
situations, in your life is through praise.
Praise the only One, that is worthy of your praise!! Praise the One,
which has made a lasting impression of goodness, over your life today!! (Psalms
135:1) Praise ye the Lord!!
……..Much Love
