He is Blessed by God

“I tell you what. That preacher ain’t nuthin’ but a man of God!! God tells him things that He doesn’t tell to us. He is so blessed by God.”

I can’t tell you how many times, that I have heard that said. It might not have been worded, exactly like I put it, but never the less, the jest was there. The truth is, as far as I can tell, those speaking are right. Some folks, it seems that God, has chosen to have a closer relationship with them, much more than others.

Oh, now!!  Hold on James!!  The Bible say’s in the third book of John, that whosoever that would believe can be Saved.   Yeah,…..your right, it does say that, and let’s prove it right now.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Now that we have gotten this out of the way, and everybody realizes, that Salvation is not a relationship. Let’s go back to what I said while ago.  Some folks, it seems, that God has chosen to have a closer relationship with them, much more than others.”  This statement is not true at all!!  The reason that we even exist is because, God created us to have a relationship with Him.

If you doubt this at all, please read the first two chapters, of the book of Genesis, and the last two books of Revelations.      This is the will of God!!      If you can’t grasp that while reading Genesis, then surely the book of Revelation will convince you.

If you not setting down, please do so now, because I am going to very blunt, with my next statement.    Father is not picking, and choosing one person, over the next. We are the ones, that determines, how deep that our relationship, goes with Father.  if I had to guess, I would say that at least eight out of ten of my readers, absolutely fail, at submitting to having a relationship, with our Father, and I am being generous with that number.

I will confess this to you, before I go any farther.  I don’t exceed every day, in the way, that I should. This is not a license to stay that way, because Jesus is our standard. There is no lower standard, that we should ever accept, other than Jesus, and that is shooting a lot higher, than we can achieve.

James,….Have you gone mad?     That last statement is hard to grasp!!    Why would we set ourselves up for failure?   We are not setting ourselves up for failure, if we do it in the manner that the Bible states so clearly. We never will live a victorious Christian life in our own flesh.

Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This all goes back to the point of, “Why are we here?”  We all can get caught up, in our own madness, and forget the answer, to that question. We were created to have a real time relationship, with our Father God, who created us, for His own pleasure.  I know and realize that statement can make our flesh sting. However, it makes our Spirit rejoice!!

The truth is found in the book of John, as to why God seems to favor some over others. The truth is that He doesn’t, but we make the move toward Him, and Father finds are efforts pleasing to Him. We learn the true way to worship Him.

John 4:23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Now you are probably expecting me to tell you how to do this…right?  I don’t know how to do it, other than the fact that it is a very slow walk, and requires paying close attention to Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul wrote that we should workout our own Salvation with fear and trembling in Philippians 2:12. We are really not talking about Salvation are we?     If we’re not talking about Salvation, then how much more of importance, would our relationship be?

Is not Salvation the first major step with Jesus?  I know that we hear first, and then we believe. Then we confess our sins, and accept the shed blood of Jesus, for the sacrifice of our own sins. It seems that some people think, that this is all there is, until the day that they die, but I beg to differ.

Romans 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

According to this verse Salvation is the stepping stone to where the personal work lies ahead of us, because the word conformed is an action word. I know in my personal life, to be made, in the image of Jesus, it will take a little work, and a lot of surrendering.

Well,…..I thought all this was something worth considering.   Don’t you?    Ain’t God Awesome?

            ….Much Love
