A Real Show

I am thrilled that, Father has given me another Christmas season to rejoice, in the birth of Jesus, and all that means for mankind. This truly is the most wonderful of the year, and worthy of all celebration.  Jesus……  What a name that is.     Jesus……….   The name of Jesus simply commands attention!! Any time a believer hears the names of Jesus, it might be from crossed the room, we will always look to see who is speaking that sweet name.

Who would have thought that the Creator of all that we will ever know came about in such humble beginnings? He was laid in a manger inside a stable, or cave with the animals watching over Him. The wise men came seeking the baby King, so to worship Him. How do you think that Mary felt, when these men fell of prostrate, in the presence of Jesus? Those men of wisdom have been reading the Word of God, and they knew exactly who Jesus was, and His mission to complete.

Matthew 2:6  And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

Our Father God is like most fathers, as far as being excited, at the birth of a Son. In the book of Luke, He did put on a fantastic show to introduce the birth of Jesus. He chose to come before a bunch of Shepherds keeping watch over their flocks, in the night.    Why do you think that this group of men was chosen above all other choices?   I think it was because Jesus could relate to those men, because in the book of John, He compares Himself with shepherds.

John 10:14  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Jesus truly is known of His. Remember at first when I was speaking about hearing the name of Christ, from the other side of the room?  We know, and can spot His works, and we not shocked when it happens, but are amazed at the way that it happens!!  We know that our God is good, no matter what the situation might be. We are not looking, for great things to happen in this world. We know, and realize that we have an awesome reward coming throughout our eternity!!

This is simply a trial run, where we tell others the good news of Jesus. We make a personal decision with what we want to do, with the rest of our lives. That is what that Father was doing when He send the angels with the display, for the shepherds. Ever since the birth of Jesus, we have been beckoned to place our faith, and trust, in the greatest news for all of mankind. A lot of people say that Jesus makes no sense at all. I am here to tell you that without Jesus, without God, and without truth, that none of this madness makes a bit of sense!!

Let’s go ahead, and read the rest of the story, which comes from the book of Luke.

Luke 2:8- 15  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15  And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

I believe this to be one, of the finest reads, in the Bible. It is full of drama, and humor, if you will just slow down, and read it in perspective. Keep in mind that the Lord had not spoken to His children in approximately four hundred years. The only dealings that these men had with God were those stories passed down by their elders. Then all of a sudden, right before their very eyes, all Heaven breaks loose. Ain’t our God Awesome?   Nobody puts on a show like the Lord!!

The great thing is that it is not too late, to choose Jesus to be Lord, over your life!!  All we need to do is let Holy Spirit change our lives, one situation, at a time. It is not about acting perfect, and it is certainly not about being perfect. it is simply giving up, on a way of life that is not working anyway, and letting Jesus lead, guide, and direct!!     Merry Christmas……

                ….Much Love
