It's a Sad World Without It!!

Where Is God ?

A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively
mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?".

They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing - and they think WE did it!"

Deep Thoughts for Children

What is Truth?

The other day, when I wrote about the rapture, I thought that there would be, a lot of controversy, and there wasn’t, not yet anyway. Either I was the last one, to figure this out, or the general population of the readers, simply doesn’t care. However, I really don’t think that is right, because I believe that, the readers know the truth, when they see it.

I find the conversation between Jesus, and Pontius Pilate very interesting. Pilate was looking Jesus in the eye, and asks Him this question. “What is truth?” The Bible says that after this, he went out to the Jews, and said that he found no fault in Jesus. (John18:38)    Have you ever wondered, what made Pilate find no fault in Jesus? Pilate was Roman Governor who was only in Jerusalem, to do business during the Passover.  What made him take the side of Jesus?  Why would he even care?

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

When Jesus said this He was talking to His disciples, and not Pilate. It’s strange how the more Pilate talked with Jesus, that he was becoming more, and more convinced, that there was something special about Him. I don’t know how long, that they talked, but I do know this; it was not as long as the Jews and Priest talked with Jesus. The ones that should have recognized Jesus, as the Messiah, didn’t have a clue, to who He really was.

I can’t say that, I would have recognized Jesus, as the Messiah or not. If I could have seen Him in action, and heard His teaching, I think that I might would. I am really glad to have had two-thousand years apart, and the Bible as a reference, to make sure.  Of course much gratitude goes out, to Holy Spirit, who is an excellent guide!!

Modern day is not much different now. Many reject the need for a Lord in their life that, can guide them back to the Father. We all need to get back, to our Creator, who is Father God. The difference is light and darkness and, so many choose the darkness. We all have chosen the darkness, over the light.
I really want to show you something, from the Word, of the Living God, found in the book of Ephesians. It tells about something that, I feel is important to talk about today. It might be something that you are doing, and not aware of what the consequences might be
.
Ephesians 2:1-2  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

I am not going to assume that, everybody understands who this prince is that, this verse is talking about. I want everybody to know, that this is Satan. Satan hates human beings, whether we believe in Jesus or not. He hates us simply because, Father made us in Him own image. His only goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10)

What it is saying when the Bible calls him; the prince of the power, of the air is that, he controls the air waves. Every form of communication, whether it is radio, television, internet, and telephone service is beamed around, using the satellites in space. Satan is using all of the things that, we view as modern conveniences to distract us, and draw us from living life, with each other.

I see people looking at their smart phones while, they are walking, driving, and having lunch with others, in a restaurant. I saw a lady rolling thought a red light, while texting the other day. I have noticed that I don’t see children outside playing like that used to be. They had rather be glued to the television screen, either watching a program, or playing a game.   Have you noticed the violence, and great graphics, in the games today?   Can you see how that might make a child become blood thirsty, if they are off balanced, to begin with?

I know that, none of the readers would have children, which could possibly be off balanced. It could be possible to know some though. Today’s public schools, in the United States are anti-God. They teach our children that, it is ok if they want to be homosexual. They give them condoms, so nobody has to get pregnant, or spread any disease. They tell them these things, before their minds, and bodies are even ready, to handle this situation.

Then they come home, and are glued to the internet, or the television. I personally believe that Christians should monitor, and regulate both of these in a child’s life.   Don’t you?

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We as Americans are fighting, in a losing battle, if God is not our main priority, and focus in our lives. We are bombarded on every side, with the evil, which is so cleverly disguised. The events of this world, that we live in, are going exactly the way that, Jesus said that they would.

Read the twenty-fourth chapter of the book of Matthew. Then you gauge to see, how much longer that you think that, Jesus is going to put up with the world corruptness of today. Ain’t Jesus Awesome?

Power of the Word

People just blow my mind, when I talk with them. We will be talking about the Word of God, and they will seem a far. It is like they don’t know, much about Jesus. Maybe they just don’t care, and if they don’t care, I wonder how they plan, on making it. It seems that my antenna is always up, when I hear the name of the Lord being used. Often times it is being used in vain, but still I hear it. Either way it goes I get excited.

I believe if folks had a real relationship with Jesus that, they would get excited talking about God. It’s like the true believers can usually be found, in a worship service, on the edge of their seats. At least they will be paying close attention, to the man bringing the Word. People that love Jesus are different, from the common crowd. Our Father calls us peculiar.

1Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

This entire verse is saying, how much that, we mean to God. We have been set aside, to be the Lord’s special priest, and Holy, to lead in His praises!! We have been called out of the darkness into His marvelous light. Jesus didn’t owe us anything. He sent Holy Spirit to show us the way, from out the darkness. He was sent to show us our sin, and the only solution, that would ever be available, to redeem us back to Father.

I can only speak for myself, but that makes me feel special. Most of the time when I either read, or just talk about the Bible, it makes me to feel special. Sometimes it will convict me of something, that I am doing wrong. Then it takes a few minutes to repent, and confess my sin, to get that good feeling working, on the inside, of me once again.

I have learned that lesson the hard way. I am not saying, that the Apostle John wrote the truth better than, any other writers, of the Bible. It does appear that, John stayed closer to Jesus, while He was on the earth. If Jesus wanted any alone time, He would have to slip off from John. I love to read the books that John wrote, besides the Gospel of John, and the book of Revelation. There is a lot of wisdom found in those books.

1John 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John simply lays down the Gospel, of our Lord Jesus, in a way that, is straight forward. Although, most believers have no confusion, about the writings of John, there still remains those few, that can’t seem to understand.

I personally believe that, people have been the same people since creation. They are still as stubborn and hard headed, as they ever were. Jesus brought a message of love to us that, if we would follow the recipe to the tee that, it will not only change us, but change the world.    Just what is that recipe?

Mark 12:30-31  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

The commandment of love, and Jesus knew that this would change us, in the way that we needed to be changed. With this change, comes the capability, to love the unlovable.           Can you think, or do you know anything else that is capable of achieving this goal?  I honestly believe that, it constitutes being called a miracle. I don’t know about you, but it was a miracle, when I first recognized that, I was beginning to love myself, after coming to Jesus.

Can I share something else with you, about myself?   I never even understood just how bad that I actually was, until later in my life. The truth is that I still am seeing, where I not only fell short, but where I still am still falling short.  The love of God is truly the greatest love of all!!

John seemed to have a special way of spreading the Word about that love. He seemed to understand God’s love much better than most people do, and that does include me also. Over two-thousand years later, we still look, to the writings of John to understand, the love of God.   Have you ever thought about this?   We can walk in the presence of Holy Spirit, at all times. We can pray to the Father at all times. We can praise the name of our Savior, at all times. However without the Word of the living God for guidance, something greater is missing, from our life while we are here on the earth.   Ain’t God Great?

The Rapture

Have you ever been taught something that, never did pan out?     What I am talking about is more severe, than Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy. There has been something, that I was taught, and possibly you were also taught, that has revealed itself, to not be true. I am speaking of the rapture of the church.

I am not pointing, at any certain denominational wrong teaching, of the Bible. I am not saying, that every one, of the same denomination, that taught me wrong, teaches in the same way. I have heard a few different denominations teaching, this same way. I grew up in a Baptist church in the south, and later move to a Missionary Baptist church, also in the south.

The rapture of the church was not a popular sermon. However every time that it came up, I was taught, that the rapture would take place, before the tribulation. There are preachers today, teaching that the church will be raptured off the earth, right before the tribulation starts. That is not what it says in the Word of God.

I realize even if I show you out, of the Word of God, what the truth is, that this will still be controversial among those, that have believed a different way.   How do I know this?    Simply because, it has taken me a while, to accept this, as the truth. When I first heard it I thought, that this man of God, that was preaching these things, had lost his mind.

In the book of Revelation, starting in chapter seven we will see that the rapture takes place, right after the one-hundred, forty-four thousand have been sealed, in their foreheads, with the mark, of the living God.

Revelation 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Let’s slow down, and digest what John is seeing, and what he is saying. He uses the word lo, as saying behold, or observe as an object.  What was this object?    A great multitude of people, which was so large that, no human being, could number them.  The multitude was made up a diverse group of people that, had to come from, all over the earth. They were standing in front of Jesus, on His throne, with palm branches in their hands, and dressed in white robes.

Revelation 7:13  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

This is what John said to the elder, and the elders reply to John.

Revelation 7:14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

According this this verse in the Bible, the church of Jesus Christ will go through the tribulation. This is not saying that, when God pours His wrath upon the earth, that we will be here. Jesus made this clear, in the book of Matthew.

Matthew 24:29-31  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

In the fourteenth chapter, it also talks about the rapture, of the church. It takes place right before, the wrath of God is poured out, upon the earth. Please read this for yourselves, because I am heading in the direction of proof that, the wrath of God, comes after our rapture. This is what it says happens immediately after we are raptured.

Revelation 14:18-20  And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19  And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20  And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

This is definitely not talking about the church, because we have just left the earth. We are safe in the presence of Jesus. In the fifteenth chapter it is on. This will be the largest mass cleansing of the earth, but still there will be those, that still reject Jesus, and who that He is.

Revelation 15:1  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Revelation 16:1  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

There it is the best way that, I can reveal it to those, that care to investigate it farther. This is nothing new, and I am simply going by what, that it says in the Word of God. The only reason that I am placing this in this blog today, is so that the true believers can be prepared, for the issues that, we will be facing. If we know about an issue, then there is no reason to be offended, when they are staring us, in the face.

We are going to see some hard times, no matter which country that we live in. as believers, and followers of Christ we have been called to the death of ourselves. We are to die daily. (1st Corinthians 15:31) Jesus told us these things in Mark.

Mark 8:35  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

During the tribulation we will experience things, that we would rather not have to go through. The only way that we will make it is by, having a really close walk, with our Lord. It would be worse than a shame to make it that far, and get tripped up by something, which we were not prepared to handle. A lot of us will have the opportunity to die for our beliefs. I am not trying to scare anybody. I am just stating the possibilities.   Ain’t Jesus Awesome?
