family tradition

i bet you when ole' Hank Jr. wrote that song that he didn't even realize all the applications that it could be used with. i ain't trying to disrespect anybody by using this analogy. I've thought about several tittles to use for this story, and family tradition fits as well as any.
besides i like ole' hank, plenty good enough. I've listened to his music most of my life. I've even lived kinda close to him when he had a home in Cullman Alabama. rumor was that the law there just couldn't tame him down, so that he fit in the neighborhood, so they did what they are most famous for: they run him off!!!
now this little story is true to the best of my knowledge. then again everything that i write is true from my perspective. now,......... this wont be any different than the rest.

this is a love story. actually,...........this is several different love stories combined. I'll be going back to the beginning of time, and shoot right up to modern day. yep,.............that's right,...............it gets very personal, because it's my family tree, and more than likely yours also.
men since the beginning of time have chosen women over God. I'm as guilty of this as anybody can be. i know that everyone has heard the story of Adam and Eve. you might have even read it in the Bible, and probably made it out to be what most of the people say that it was. if your one of those i want to open your eyes  to the real story of Adam & Eve.
we all know that God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and set him forth in the garden of Eden to tend the garden, and name all the animals. the Bible says that He created man, so we will assume that's what he did. i don't know what age that God considers a man to be, so we will stick to the good ole' American way, any say he was 21.
Adam was flawless. he had bulging muscles every where a muscle supposed be, and he had a smile that couldn't be beat. his hair was well groomed without one out of place. Adam was a whole complete human being with one thing missing. he didn't have a belly button, because he never was in a womb.
Adam walked and talked with his creator everyday. Adam really enjoyed this fellowship, but God knew that something was missing in Adam's life. God put Adam to sleep one day, and preformed the first surgical procedure known to man. he removed one of Adam's ribs.
when Adam woke back up he didn't realize what had gone on, because he wasn't sore, and didn't have a scar. however, he did notice something different. there was another person sitting there beside him, but this was different from him. it had strange, and different parts than Adam. it had a beautiful smile, and a tender voice. it's skin was smooth, and didn't have as much hair on it as Adam did. suddenly Adam felt a strange feeling, one that he never felt before, but really didn't know what it was. his heartbeat was erratic, and his breathing had become short. he had this strange sensation like something was inside his tummy, and it was flying around, and trying to leave through his throat. Adam had never experienced this feeling. it was odd, and yet strangely delightful at the same time.
God appeared before Adam, and told him what he had done. he explained that he didn't want Adam to be lonely between His visits, and she could help with the gardening. Adam was delighted with God's choice for a helper. for some reason he was mysteriously intrigued with this woman. she had a very pleasant scent to her. her face was soft to Adams touch, and her long flowing hair was as silk.
God was teaching the two how to live in the garden. there were many creatures in the garden both big, and small. everyone of them loved the first pair, and no animal meant any harm to them. nothing kicked, scratched, bit, or showed any aggression. it was truly a paradise.
one day Adam was walking through the garden, and heard eve calling him timidly. Adam could tell be her voice that something was wrong. he had never heard that tone come from her. she stood behind a tree, as she started to tell Adam what she had done, Adam's countenance fell, as she told him that she ate from the one tree that God said not to eat from.
Adam fell to his knees as he clutched his gut. he had never felt like this before. he had never experienced any kind of sickness before. he wasn't sure what was happening, but it wasn't quite right.
Adam was facing a decsion that he wasn't sure how to handle. would he drag eve before God, and tell him what she had done? could he trust God not to take eve from Adam?    Adam wasn't sure what to do.
eve was the only person that Adam had ever known, and he loved her with all his heart, and not knowing what God might do he made the ultimate decision.  he knowingly, and willingly took the piece of fruit that was still clutched in the hands of eve, and  took a bite from it. he couldn't even bare the thoughts of a life without his mate to the point that he sacrificed his body to the unknown. in his mind whatever God did about the situation, He would have to do it with them together.

you all know the rest of the story. God didn't stop loving them just because they messed up. He made them clothes to wear, and sent them out of the garden forever. i would imagine that God did have a few choice words for Adam, but still he made his choice, and God did honor it.

i think this is a beautiful story the way that it stands. a love story on many different levels. i was going to add a part from my life to it, but on second thought,............it would just bring dishonor to an already written masterpiece. i can only guess what really went on back then. I've added the words, and the emotions to bring out the true essence of the story.  the facts that i've revealed here are true. hope that you enjoyed my version of this love story.

                                  .....................much love
