Hell To Pay

Do you think, that one of the problems with the belief system, in our society today, could be the fact, that Jesus is alive is too hard to believe?  They seem to believe, that others can escape the death process, by being turned into zombies. They also seem to believe, that a bite from a vampire can give eternal life. Today’s generation is a pretty hard sell, and it is because of the effects of Hollywood, and the entertainment industry.

Hollywood is nothing more than the grandest illusion of all!! Nothing is what it seems to be. All those beautiful actresses are nothing more than bondo and paint. Have you ever noticed that, they don’t look like that, in their mug shots?   You know that you really can dress up a scarecrow, to look like a princess!!

I think that the entertainment industry could have been a wonderful thing. It still is used to promote the gospel sometimes, but more to promote, what folks believe to be the gospel. I have come to realize that most, but not all, of these television ministries are based more, on making money, than leading the lost to Christ. It seems that the bigger the ministry, the more corrupt that they are in taking your blessings from you.

The really sad thing is they simply don’t take your goods. They fool you into believing, that they are doing good with your money, so you offer it to them. It might be true, that they dig a well or two, in a third world country. They have to show something for the money, which is received. However, why did that plush mansion that they live in come from?   Why would a humble man of God need to drive a Bentley to begin with?

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

One more verse, that I want to show you, before I start talking about Jesus. Matthew 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This verse disturbs me, but I can see it in action every day, of my life. Most of us, that claim to be Christians, really spend little time, if any with our Lord. The biggest part, of us plays a religious role on Sundays. But isn’t that the day, that we should be performing?  That is what most of our lives break down into, is a performance, that we put on so those around us will believe, that we are religious.

Do you give thanks to the Lord, for a good night rest, upon waking up, in the morning?      Do you ask the Lord for traveling mercies, before you even start the car?          Do you ask Him, for the same thing, before your children, get on the school bus?                  Are you thankful for your meals, even when they’re not big enough, to count as a meal?

Most people don’t have any form of a relationship with God unless they need Him. When the Twin Towers came crashing down, all of America turned to the Lord. The sad part is that they turned away from Him, almost as quickly, as they turned to Him. There was an American flag flying, on nearly every house, and the churches were standing room only. That soon wore thin, as the next big thing came into play. We quickly went from one nation under God, to the nation that blasphemes God!!

It doesn’t look like the United States has any plans on repenting for their sins. It we don’t repent as a nation, then Father’s hand of judgment, will be forced to take action. I don’t really know what He is going to do to us. Looking back on the other nations, which have rebelled against His Word, there is not a peaceful solution. The best that we can hope for is that He strikes us hard, and quick, so that we would have no hope other than to act, in total repentance.

The bottom line is that this world belongs to God. We need Him desperately in our country, and in our lives. The truth of the matter is that we need God more, than we need our next breath. If we happen to draw our last breath, without God in our hearts, and in our lives…..it will be Hell to pay!!

               ….Much love
