The Greatest Creation

I think that I am hung-up, on a theme in writing. However, that is ok, because I am overwhelmed, when I consider our mighty creator. I am talking about all that He has done, for His most prized creation. As human being we can be totally amazed at the concepts, of different things. Space is one of the most awesome sights to a lot of us.  The vastness of the universe, how it simply goes on, as far as we can see. The farther we see in outer space, the more beautiful that it becomes. There are great mysteries contained in space, which offers endless effects, on the human imagination. Even still this is not what God considers to be His greatest creation.

Those that study the sciences of the natural chemical makeup of the substances, found on this planet. Everybody must admit that we as human beings have come, a long way, in our knowledge, and studies. We know what chemicals will mix together, and form something new, and those that rebel, and how severely that they will rebel. The chemical makeup of the things, in which we encounter in this world, is a fascinating study, and still that is nothing to our creator.

Have you ever noticed, how beautiful the world that we live in is especially, from a far? When the pictures come into our view, which are taken from above the ground. The mountains, the valleys, the plains, and the hills, and then you see the lakes, rivers, streams, brooks, and then the oceans in this world. Then when we get to digging around in this huge playground, called the earth, another door of pure awesomeness opens.  There are not many places in this entire earth. which doesn’t intrigue the minds of somebody. Even still, this is not the most beloved creation, of the One, that created it all.

Have you ever noticed, or thought about this? Everything that our God, our Father, and our Creator ever did has a life association involved with it. Do you remember the talking, and speaking donkey, in the book of Numbers, chapter 22?  I said that to make this point a reality.

In the book of Luke Jesus was riding another donkey, into the city of Jerusalem, and the people were shouting, and laying cuts from the palm trees, on the ground. Actually, they were shouting Hosanna, blessed is He that comes in the name, of the Lord!! Naturally, the haters of Jesus in that day, who were commonly known as the Pharisees, demanded that Jesus should quite His disciples. This was Jesus’s reply:

Luke 19:40  And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Now, I used the talking donkey to kinda get you warmed up for this truth. I have never heard a rock, a stone, a pebble, or any other formation of the solid mineral family say anything, that my ears could detect.         Have you?       Actually, what Jesus is saying here is that the stones would recognize their Creator, and give Him the praise, that He deserves to be given. If you will think about this for a Nano-second, this is an awesome statement, that could be followed by an awesome act!!      Just thinking about this gives me what we call in the south Glory-bumps!!

We might see what God’s greatest creation is as several different things. Actually, everything that God created is absolutely awesome in their own unique way. However, if we want to know what our Father thinks, that His greatest creation is, all we need to do is go to His Word.

Psalms 139:14  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalms 139:17  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

In the Old Testament book of Zechariah, our Creator has called us the apple of His eye. I have several Bible commentaries, and I found the Adam Clarke commentary of interest in explaining the apple of God’s eye. I will show you the verse first, then the commentary.

Zechariah 2:8  For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Toucheth the apple of his eye - בבבת עינו  bebabath eyno, the babet of his eye. This is a remarkable expression. Any person, by looking into the eye of another, will see his own image perfectly expressed, though in extreme miniature, in the pupil. Does our English word babbet or baby come from this? And does not the expression mean that the eye of God is ever on his follower, and that his person is ever impressed on the eye, the notice, attention, providence, and mercy of God?

The second to the last thing, that I want to show you today is found in First Peter. In this verse Holy Spirit is talking through the Apostle Peter about us. I find the love that Father shows to His children over-whelming at times!!

1Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

I will close with this verse, that lets us know, that we were the greatest creation, which our God ever created!!

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ain’t God good?

         ….Much Love
