Give Glory where it is due

I live in a world filled with hatred for each other. There are battles, and wars happening all over. Actually I live in a city that seems to be scenes, from the Wild West every night. If that wasn’t bad enough, I live in a building, where the general theme, and attitude toward each other; “Do unto others, before they do unto you!!” It is really hard to keep a descent Christian attitude most days, but with the Lords help, it is far more bearable a task to complete.

I don’t believe that any of us are where we are at by accident. I believe that God has placed each one of us where we are at, in order for Him to get the glory. I also believe that we are often looking for some large magnificent ordeal to happen, for the glory of God.          Have you ever noticed when something along those lines happen, that our God is the one making it happen?       Father really wants us to bring glory to Him, under our own power.

How is that possible? We can’t walk on the water, or split the sea to cross on dry ground. We cannot call down fire from Heaven to consume a thing. We can’t even cause the dead to rise up, and live another day of life. I give up!! How can I bring glory to God?

Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Please take a minute and let these actions sink in your Spirit. This is one of those verses with a dual purpose. Whether a child of God, is doing a random act of kindness for you, or you as a child of God are doing something, for someone else. This brings glory to our Lord, because Jesus is speaking of a reward. Sometimes I think that we get things mixed up, in serving, and bringing glory to our God. He is the one with all the power. He is the one with all the power. Once more just to make sure that you get this. He is the one with all the power, and we are His creation.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

These are some of the ways, which we can bring glory, to our God.        How hard is it to kind to each other?                 Looking toward our fellow man with a real soft heart, and a forgiving attitude, how hard is that?                   I don’t know what you think about this, but I think that it is almost impossible!!                       Actually it is impossible without the power of God helping us.

Didn’t you say that we need to do these things, in our own power?     Yes, I did!!       As Christians we are most powerful when we are on our knees, asking our God, for the strength, and help to do these things. Holy Spirit leaps into action to strengthen, and guide us into all truth. This cause a reaction in our God, which brings Him great glory, that we are relying on Him. How are you sure about that last statement?

1Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Most people in the world have a problem with pride, and that includes the Children of God. Fortunately for us we have a great Father that calls having pride a sinful thing. Holy Spirit is always struggling to convince us to give up that pride. A person can’t be filled with pride, and be humble at the same time. Once we get past that issue of pride, and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Is the key to this the mighty hand? No!! The key is God, and the fact that, He is receiving glory, by our actions.

Can you see a pattern developing? We bring glory to God, and He rewards us. We bring glory to God we get exalted. The greatest thing that we get when we bring glory to God is life. What is it that brings the most glory to God?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus confirms this a little farther down the road.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Why don’t we start giving the greatest glory to the Father right now, by accepting His Son, as our Lord and Savior? There is a great reward when you do, and it is a relationship with the God, of all Creation.     Ain’t Jesus Awesome?

…..Much Love
