it's finally here!!

the first thing that i realized this morning as my eye's popped open was the fact that it was Christmas day. although, i failed to forget the reason that i woke up so early. Itty Kitty was racing crossed the tile floor with a vengeance. have you ever heard a cat running so hard that you could hear it? now,.......i'm not talking about having a hangover either.
how soon that i forget the things that i do that gives me the simple pleasures in life. once Itty Kitty calmed down last night i took the pleasure in spraying her fuzz ball with cat nip. i simply tossed it in the chair that she sleeps in for a surprise in the morning. she gets this strange look in her eyes which makes me laugh to begin with. all of a sudden everything really gets serious with her. she attacks her fuzz ball. i'm saying that she really attacks it!! she will sit there winding up her rear end until it's so tight that she can't control it any longer, then she's off. she will slide right past that ball on the tile floor, and grab a hold of it in the process. then she does these amazing flips, and turn while still in the process of sliding. all the time never releasing hold of that ball!!
I'm a lot like an overgrown kid. i find some of the same pleasures that they do. i could just play with that cat all day if i could stand it. the problem is that i get to laughing so hard that it hurts!!

I've never lost my country boy roots. one of the first things that i do every morning is run outside, as maybe somebody took it away while i slept the night before. i need to check the weather from my own perspective, because these weather people down here in Florida have a lot of trouble with it.
on of the best things about living down here is the fact that it warms up during the day in the winter time. today is going to be one of those days. i can already tell that the heat is going to be turned off, and all the windows flung open. i like to air the house out every chance that i get.
maybe it was too early for most people to be out, but there was no traffic on the road that i live on this morning. there is an intersection right up the street, and i heard a couple cars out, and about, but nothing like normal. usually this road that i live on is wide open this time of the day. i would imagine that most the parents are home this morning being drove slap mad by their children, because Santa paid a visit last night.
speaking of madness............it will be safe to shop at wal-mart again now that Christmas has passed. although,........the return lines will be to the back of the building for the next few days!! i don't do wal-mart during the month of December, unless i wait until 2-3 clock in the morning to go. it's a form of madness that i simply can't tolerate at no other time. it's not that i don't have great patience, because i do. I've just found that i don't have the amount of patience to qualify me to shop this time of the year. the lines are way too long, and the buggies are way too full. people are going to be people during this time also. there are always one, or two that will blow their fuse, and entertain the rest of the store until they leave. i feel sorry for all those non-English speaking cashiers at this time of the year, because there is always some big ole fat, hillbilly, redneck woman with a boat-load of kids teaching her children how not to act towards others!!
do y'all remember the difference at wal-mart before Sam Walton died? Wal-mart was the greatest store that there ever was to shop in. they strictly had the policy of buy American made products, and every employee spoke fluent English. now that the money grubbing grand children are running it they just don't care about nothing but turning a buck. most of the items that they now sell come from a sweat shop from some foreign country like Indonesia or Miami. now they sale things that Sam would never been caught dead selling like tobacco products, and alcohol. the only reason that wal-mart was ever a success to begin with was because of Sam Walton's insight.

i don't really have anything planned for today. there are no great get together's in my future today. then again,.......that's not entirely true. Bubba will be coming back from his parent Christmas celebration today with a whole bunch of good food. his mother always over-cooks way to much, and i couldn't be happier because she does. Bubba and myself will spend the next three days scarfing down the leftovers from her bounty!!

ha!!            i told you,.............i just walked back outside, and the bees are buzzing around on Christmas day!!   man,.......I'm telling you that it's good to live in America in a part of the country that the bees come to life on Christmas day. most of this country has freezing weather, and snow, but I'll just stick with my bees for today. the last time that i even saw a snow flurry was back in 1994, and that's all that it was, just a few flurries. i don't miss the snow one bit. i never have really lived in a snowbound place in this country. however, we used to get a few days of it each year in northern Alabama. it was fun to play in. we used to drag boats in it from an A.T.V., and everything else that might not kill us!! it was a blast growing up a redneck kid. it seemed like we had the most fun of anybody else.

speaking of having fun,................i'm going outside to play!!              somethings never change!!         y'all have a great day, and play fair.

                                                          .............much love
