tis' the season

we should be having the time of our lives during this Christmas celebration. most of us have a few days off of work to relax, and enjoy time with our families. not all of us do though. it usually consist with a grand-mother, a mother, a wife, a daughter, or a sister. somebody is working double time to make sure that the feast gets on the table. somebody has to bake all those cakes, cookies, and pies.
there is a lot of work, and planning that goes into making Christmas a success, and it usually starts a few months before December even gets here. there are presents to buy, and wrap. there is a guest list to make, and usually more than one event can take place at your house during this season. every meal prepared is nothing less than a feast. then somebody has to decide the most important decision. what time the whole family will be coming over.
all the family members are invited whether you think that they will show up or not. Christmas is as good a time as any to mend those broken relationships with the ones that we love the most. it's the one time of the year that the love inside our heart flows a little more freely.

do you want to know what i did last night in celebration of the season?     i got the cat stoned on cat nip!!  that lil' critter ran around playing with everything that she could find like it was possessed. i never laughed so much, as i did at the sight of her loosing her mind over a piece of string!! that piece of string is still wrapped around the kitchen table so tight that she couldn't get it loose.
that wasn't the best part though. i bought her a laser pointer yesterday, and i broke it out on her last night, as she was taking her last hit of the cat nip. this was a riot!!  she chased that little red beam of light all over the house. she would think that she caught it under her paw, and i would cut it off. she would sit there looking back at my as if she were saying,.........." yeah,.......i got it!!"  when she would slide her paw back she was totally amazed that it wasn't there, and start sniffing around for it!! we did this for a long time until she noticed that i was laughing a little to much for her good, and walked away with hurt feelings.        poor kitty!!         yep,..........that's right,..........i gave her some more of the cat nip, and it was on all over again!!
this went on until i couldn't laugh anymore. my ribs were hurting from all that excitement. she eventually wore herself down, and had to take a nap.
guess what's on my agenda for tonight?

                                                           ...............much love
