We have the Victory

Do you ever go through, or have you ever gone through, a stage that is totally abnormal for you? I am going through one right now, and I believe that it would classify, at a satanic attack. I am not sure, then again, I know that Satan has his scope set on me, and wants to kill me, the same as he wants to kill you, if you are a born again, blood washed believer, in Jesus Christ. That is all that it takes to qualify a person to be on his hit list.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

This verse of scripture is featuring Jesus speaking. We know this because of the red letters, on the words that He says. Jesus Christ is the leading authority, of things of a Spiritual nature, which there ever has been, or will ever be. He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, and if we place Him under anything else, then we are lost.

When Jesus speaks to us He will usually take things, in the natural, and use them so we can grasp an understanding of things that are Spiritual. The thief that Jesus is speaking of is Satan, and Satan is the only thief that, we need to be worrying about, in the Spiritual realm. He does have a great number of fallen angels working with him, but he is in command of them. Now listen closely please, because this is really important that, we understand these things, for a few reasons.

The first reason is that Jesus is speaking directly to us, and anytime that we find that Jesus is talking it is, of an important nature. Jesus never did waste using any words. Every word that He spoke was very important for the children of God to know. The reason of the importance is because we are in a battle, whether we want to engage or not, it doesn’t change the fact. In this verse He is talking about our real time enemy, and what his mission is concerning us.

There are just three objectives that the thief (Satan) has to accomplish concerning us. Jesus gets right to the point, and the first one is to steal. We need to remember all the things that Satan wants to steal from us is first of a Spiritual nature, this is his first objective, but he will take your physical being as well. He wants to steal the Word of God from us. He realizes that is would be almost impossible to take the entire Word, so he does the next best thing. He twists the Word a little, so that he can have us doubting a small part, and this causes confusion to set in our minds. (Parable of the sower Matthew 13:18-23)

Satan is very slick, and evil in his ways. He is crafty with what he does, and can be working on all three of these things that he does at the same time. You might think that before you came to the saving knowledge of Jesus that he wasn’t messing with you, and that is a partial truth, which makes it a lie. I know that I drank a lot of alcohol, and smoked both pot and tobacco. I didn’t even take good care of my body, or my mind, so I was playing into his plan right there.

1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Look closely at how this verse describes Satan. He is called your adversary. An adversary is an opponent, or an antagonist, and the dictionary relates both to a battle. Peter is calling Satan our adversary the devil. He doesn’t call him a devil, because he is the chief devil, in operation of our lives. This verse has so much hidden in this message, that I simply can’t help but open it up, and make it known.

He is walking around like a roaring lion, has great significance. In a pride of lions, they age kind of life we do. When they get older their teeth aren’t as strong, as they once were. They don’t run as fast as they once did either. Once they get to this age, they go out through the hunting grounds just roaring. Anytime an adult lion roars, it brings great fear to those that hear it, and it causes a reaction, from the ones that hear the roar, so that they begin to move about.

They don’t realize that before the roaring lion even started to roar, that the younger lions had already spread out through, the hunting ground, ready to attack the innocent that move. That is the way that Satan operates against us. He dangles our favorite sin in front of us, and we all have one, or two that we are still trying to get some enjoyment from. Once we take the bait, his demons start moving in making sure to add misery. It truly is a no win situation.

If we look at the last words of this verse we can see that he wants to devour us. This is where the kill, and destroy comes in to play. It is just like a group of lions feeding, on an animal. Have you ever seen the way that works? Once the animal is down on the ground, they start to eat, on the victim, while it is still alive. They are tearing the flesh from the animal, while it is still crying for mercy.

Can anybody relate to this? Does it sound like, the last time that, you were attacked? It sound like every time that I was attacked, now that I know how he operates. Satan is the most vicious character, that we will ever encounter, in this life. What I just described to you should make you want to take a minute, and praise Jesus, because He has defeated this great enemy!! If we are in Jesus, then we have defeated him also. The truth is that he can’t do anything to us, which we don’t allow.

I realize that this is impossible to stop these attacks. Although there will be great victory, at the end. We will take the final battle, and we will go to a land, under the control, of our Father. There will come a glorious day, like we can’t even imagine right now. How will all of this take place?

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Ain’t our Jesus Awesome?

.Much Love
