I wonder sometimes if we all believe that everyone else is stupid?
I know that I catch myself thinking that
some,.....Er.......Ugh,.........OK,............A lot of people are
stupid. Now, I don't even know who most of these folks are, or what
they are about. I don't have a clue what their life has dealt them.
Nor how that have chosen to handle the situation.
I know that a lot of people treat me like I am slower that most of
the human race when they hear me speak. Yep,............That's
right,..........I speak with one of those slow southern drawls that
most folks do that spent a lot of time in Alabama!! To be honest I
get a sick kick out of people thinking this way,......But that is
just me. I have seen some folks ready to fight when being treated in
this manner.
I deal with people better face to face when I have a chance to allow
offense to come in my life. If it gets over bearing to handle I can
simply handle it in two different ways. The first way being is to
politely let them know that I do understand them completely. The
second way is to simply leave the conversation behind. Believe it or
not,......It took me quite a while to learn this tactic.
You ever heard the saying that hurt people hurt others? Well,......I
know that this is true, because I learned at an early age that I
could take my tongue, and slash a person wide open at the spot where
it would hurt the most!! That was my only verbal defense mechanism,
and it worked well. The problem with that thought is that people
assumed that I was an over-bearing, smart mouth, heathenish
man with a problem with sanity. They were exactly right!! A
real problem child.
You can about Imagine the pack that I ran with in my younger days,
and some of my older days also!! My mother always told me to be
careful of the crowd that I ran with. She said that they were up to
no good, and would get me in trouble. She probably didn't realize
that I was the ring leader, and attracted all them to me!! I was the
problem child, and her only one, so she was clueless how to handle
me.
Back to what I was talking about................... The most
irritating way that offense comes into my life is through the air.
You know,...The Radio, The Internet, and The Television, and mainly
advertisements. The first thing is that you have no chance of any
verbal correction. Usually walking away is not a working option
either.
Most of us know by now that anything free is not worth a flip anyway.
The cost of free normally comes at an unbearable price. Even though I
know all of this quite well it seems that I am always trying to prove
this statement wrong!! There is a reason that i keep my hair so
short that I can grab it anymore!! It is called the Internet!!
I spend more time cleaning up what I got for free than I do enjoying
my time on the net. I have got more for free than I bargained for,
and it all doesn’t come from porn sites. I was in real trouble back
in those days!!
A lot of times when I am trying to get something for free a screen
pops up saying, “ Your download will start in a minute. Please take
a minute and complete one of these short surveys.” I have learned
if I ever do take a survey they are probably going to ask me to do
something else,.........For free of coarse. I have did everything that they asked of me, and I
never have got the free thing that started this snowball rolling down
this hill!!
This really ticks me off!! And time, and time again these folks have
proved that I was as stupid as they thought!! All this while I am
saying to myself, “ How stupid do they really think that I am!!”
The funny part is that time, and time again...........I have
proven that their assumption was absolutely right. Geeze Louise!!
That is why folks that we can take ourselves too seriously or
others.
Let's try today to love each other a little bit more than we judge
each other......ok?
