Brother Do-Right, and Sister Sweet Saint.

Have you ever heard of a group of perpetrating, finger pointing, individuals, which simply go under the name of them or they?  Apparently, nobody has ever laid their eyes on them, but everybody knows what that they have said. If you pay attention to when folks are talking, they are pointing out the latest statistics of what they said.  They are well known about, and sure get a lot of publicity. I am about to believe, that we need to file these folks, under our conspiracy theory files.
You know in the Christian circles we will not be out done. We have our own version of this madness. We call ours the Super-Duper, Phantom Christian, whom no one has ever saw either!! He or she, is so elusive, that nobody can tell that he in the midst, but everyone can see what he has done!! We can’t possible confuse the Super-Duper, Phantom Christian with, the ones that we can see.
There is always the ones, that we can see that seem to do everything right. The dress the right way, and speak in the right way. They host the most fabulous Christian events, and their home is immaculate. I like to call these Brother Do-Right, and Sister Sweet Saint.
Can anybody relate to what I am talking about here?            Depending on the size of the place of worship, there can be a few in the crowd, but not of the crowd. They seem to be the Elite, and surely those after God’s own heart!! Most of us tend to admire these folks, and often wonder why the never seem to struggle.
I have been to a lot of these churches, and it is not difficult, to pick these folks, out of the crowd. They wear the finest clothes in the church. Actually, they look like they have just jumped of the pages, from fine magazines. Now really, are these model Christians? They look, and act like models, but are they worth being envious over?  Have you ever seen an old man wearing make-up, on his face, trying to cover up the aging process? What or how, do you feel about this?
I am grateful to have my Bible, as the guide for my life. The Bible is full of real people, with real problems, living for God. King David, the man after God own Heart, had some serious issues.   Acts 13:22  And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
David committed murder, adultery, and had a son, that raped his daughter. Would it be fair to say that King David was less than perfect? How about the way that John the Baptist dressed, and what that he ate. Do you think, that he would have, many party invitations, in today time? Matthew 3:4  And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and  wild honey.
Let’s look at one of my favorite Old Testament Authors Isaiah. When the Lord called him this is what that he said. Isaiah 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
The point that I am making here is, that we should never compare ourselves outside, of the word of God. Those folks that we hold our head down to, because of shame, and disgust, are nothing more than an illusion. If the truth were known, they have their own set of problems. They simply keep them hid, from the rest of us. They are just looking good, and this is what Jesus said: Matthew 6:2  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
When Jesus was talking with the Pharisee’s, He also had this to say:  Luke 11:39  And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
Now, I am not saying that all those fine dressing Christians, which take their role, in front of the church, are living the life of a Pharisee. However, some of them are, but they are not contained to the spotlight. They can be spread out through the church.
How can I know, who is who then?           Once again Jesus said: Matthew 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Have you noticed what I have done in the entire post? I have gone to the source that we need to go to if we have any doubts. That One source is Jesus!! Hebrews 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
This is the most deceptive time, as far as I can tell, in the history of the church. We can’t stop attending, because the Bible commands us no to do this. Hebrews 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
This is the time that this verse is talking about. The day is approaching, and quickly!! It is time to dig our heels in, and show others how to live!! Here is something, which you may have never thought about. You just might be the only Christian, that others have ever saw, living for God!!
I believe most of us that truly love Jesus, have some kind of problem. A problem that might hurt our testimony. A problem that could, or might would eliminate ourselves, from being a true child of God. What I have to say about this is simply, do you love the Father?        Do you love Jesus, with all you imperfect heart?        Do you love a visitation from Holy Spirit?
If you answered yes, to all three of these questions. As far as I can tell you are a child of the Living God!! The good thing is that Jesus knows what you struggle with, and you are not a surprise to Him. Just keep on praying, and asking for help, with you imperfections, and call them what they are when talking to our Savior. The best that we can do is strive toward the mark, and wait for Jesus.
Ain’t God good!!
       ….Much Love
