Mikel French

I don't know what is happening with my church of here lately. We have had some powerhouse Evangelist preaching in our mist since January. I am not taking anything away from our pastor Gary Wiggins either. He can hold his own in any crowd as far as I am concerned. He is the Shepard of the flock that I reside in, and I will always back him one hundred percent. I will continue to support that man as long as he loves the Lord in the way that he does now.

Today we had an Evangelist to Russia that brought the word to us this morning. He travels with a singing keyboard player named James Hugh. This guy was really good. Although, I have not heard anybody sing in our church that outdoes our singers.     I think our group is world class!!

If at all possible y'all need to go to the church web site, on the top left of this blog. Then go to the church site, and click on sermons. Then go under the revive section, and find Mikel French. Now the church site is only updated on Tuesday. If you try to see it before then it wont be there. If you are a Christian that is serious about the Word of God. You will find this sermon not only informative, but also of a heart pricking nature.

The Evangelist name was Mikel French. His name is pronounced like Micheal. It just has a different type spelling. He started out talking about the country of Russia. It is in the process of dying. What is killing those people is mainly Alcoholism, Drug Addiction, and the Aid's Virus. Mikel's ministry is located in Moscow. He says that Moscow is an extremely high priced city to live in. the country of Russia is nothing like America. Here we have church's all crossed the country. I don't think that we have a city that doesn't have a church. Russia is God barren. They only have a few church's that preach Jesus Christ.

I wish that I could remember all the facts that he said. It was very interesting to know. Especially, how the country is dying, and how well the people are flocking to the message of Jesus Christ. The people of Russia need Jesus, and as far as right now, a lot of them don't have the chance to hear the gospel.       We need to include this country in our prayers.

Mikel told us that he was going to bring the word today from the book of romance.    In all my wisdom I though that he was talking about the “song of Solomon.”     I never figured it to be the book of “Revelations.”     It made sense though when Mikel started explaining that it was concerning a bridegroom, and His bride.     Even though, I had never considered it in that way.   He brought out some very good points that I have never considered before.     Mikel said that this was a portrait of Jesus talking to His bride.  We are the bride of Christ.   evelations 3:15-16 states: He was telling the bride when He took her in His mouth, that we must either be hot, or cold, because if we are lukewarm He will spit us out!!

Now, let me do what I do best, and get graphic so you might get a better understanding. Hot means on fire.     Burning with passion.      Hot in pursuit for more of Jesus.     No matter what we receive from the Lord we are never satisfied.      We want, and expect more of Jesus!!     More, More, More !!

Cold means that we are not Saved, and don't know better.    We are totally ignorant of the goodness of the Lord.     We are incomplete without ever have experienced what it is to have Jesus.     We truly are lost, and don't have a clue what life is all about.

This is where the trouble begins.            If we are lukewarm.             The Creator of all creation can not stomach the effects that we leave on Him!               He will spit, spew, vomit, anything that it takes to get us outside of His greatness, because the taste of us make the great Jehovah-jireh sick to His stomach!! Right now you should be feeling a little sick to your stomach. I know that i am!!

The problem is lukewarm.     Lukewarm is in a state of heading toward being cold.    It is bach sliden, unethuastic,  not motivated, lacking conviction, indifferent, lacking zeal etc....There is no wonder that Jesus will puke us out of His mouth if we are in that kind of shape.      Wouldn't you? There is a cure from being in this kind of shape.

Mikel made another statement about the most harmful being , or the number one enemy of the church today.       It is not Satan, or demons.     hey are real for sure, but they are not the most harmful thing to a church.       It is the members of the church getting complacent!!      Complacency is the same thing as being lukewarm.       Kinda scary huh?
